All square at the breather
Hosts Scottland had to come from behind to level matters at half time in their Castle Lager Premiership match against Highlanders.
Terrence Dzvukamanja nodded home the equaliser, to cancel out Bosso’s lead.
Highlanders surged ahead after 17 minutes with a goal from Mafious Chihweta.
The Scottland defenders were caught off-guard in a poor offside trap when Reason Sibanda darted into space on the right.
The forward paced into the box and then took his time before releasing a cut back that found Chihweta. The diminutive winger made no mistake with a simple tap in.
But the lead was shortlived. Mid-season arrival Dzvukamanja found the equaliser for Scottland after beating goalkeeper Reward Muza at the near post from a corner kick.
Scottland could have claimed the lead in the 34th minute but awalter Musona failed to connect a high ball from Dzvukamanja which landed on hs feet at the back post.
The hosts have made several forces into the Bosso territory but they are lacking the killer punch.
Highlanders have continued to be a thorn in the flesh for Scottland when going forward. Goal scorer Chihweta is enjoying his game, giving fullback Godknows Murwira a torrid time on the left flank.
But supporters from both sides, and neutrals, can agree that this is a balanced affair. The referee has added two minutes, but the teams are inseparable going to the breather. The second half promises more excitement.
