Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused of trafficking two more women.
In a new indictment filed on Thursday, prosecutors detailed a series of new allegations against the rapper that accused him of leading a criminal group and sex trafficking three women — two more than he was previously charged with.
It also described violent outbursts on Combs’ behalf towards his alleged victims, including an incident in which he allegedly held a person over a balcony.
“On multiple occasions, Combs threw both objects and people, as well as hit, dragged, choked and shoved others,” the indictment claimed.
“On one occasion, Combs dangled a victim over an apartment balcony.”
Prosecutors also accused Combs of leading a criminal organisation referred to as “Combs Enterprise”.
Members of the group were likewise accused of sex trafficking, as well as travelling across state lines to engage in prostitution, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.
Combs’ legal team issued a stern rebuttal of the new accusations.
“The latest Indictment contains no new offences. The prosecution’s theory remains flawed,” Combs’ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said in a statement.
“The government has added the ridiculous theory that two of Mr Combs’ former girlfriends were not girlfriends at all, but were prostitutes.”
Combs is detained at a federal corrections centre in Brooklyn as he awaits trial, scheduled for 5 May. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation in prostitution. — Cover Media
