SeedCo, NTS hold AGM this month

SEED company Seed Co and National Tyre Services will hold their Annual General meetings later this month, giving investors an insight into how the two listed companies have been performing.
Both companies will hold their AGMs on 20 August but spotlight must be on the seed company which is expected to announce good results following expected increased uptake of its products during the successful last summer season.

Meanwhile, the market closed the week positive with a 0.65 percent rise in the Industrial Index, leaving it at 189.31 points. The Mining Index was down by 0.58 percent to close at 94.45 points. The top risers included: Hunyani, up 40.4 percent to close at 3.51c; Star Africa gained 13.04 percent to close at 2.6c; Meikles was up 12.12 percent to close at 18.5c; Barclays gained 9.49 percent to close at 4.5c; and CBZ added 8.33 percent to close at 13c.

The fallers included: Powerspeed, down 6.25 percent to close at 1.5c; CFI fell 4.98 percent to close at 2.1c; Edgars lost 3.85 percent to close at 12.5c; Afsun fell 3.57 percent to close at 2.7c; and Bindura lost 1.18 percent to close at 8.4c. Volumes were up on Friday, leading to a value of trades of US$1.216 million, boosted by trades in Bindura, Econet and Delta.
