A SELF-PROCLAIMED prophet is on the run after allegedly raping a 23-year-old member of his church in Chinhanga Village under the jurisdiction of Chief Seke.
Madzibaba Maikoro is facing allegations of a raping the congregant at his shrine.
Madzibaba Maikoro convinced the woman that an evil spirit was responsible for her misfortunes.
He claimed that he could help her through prayers.
She ordered her to attend a prayer session at his shrine.
Sometime in October, at around 10 am, dressed in white, she arrived at the shrine.
Madzibaba Maikoro then laid his hands on her head, claiming that he was praying for her.
He then allegedly raped her.
After the attack, he allegedly threatened her, warning of dire consequences if she revealed what had occurred.
She went home and confided in her sister.
They filed a report at Chitungwiza Police Station under case number CR 352/11/25.
Madzibaba Maikoro remains on the run.
