Senate president in Cote d’Ivoire for APU meetings

Senate president, Cde Mable Chinomona, who is also the president of the African Parliamentary Union is in Abidjan, (Côte d’Ivoire) to attend the 80th Session of the Executive Committee and the 45th Conference of Presidents of National Parliamentary Assemblies of APU.

She is accompanied by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Cde Tsitsi Gezi, Ms Susan and Cde Tendai Karumazondo.

The meetings will among other items focus on combating insecurity and terrorism, factors of political instability and recession, and the development of intra-African trade with a view to the effective implementation of the African regional integration.
