THREE robbers attacked security guards and fuel attendants at a service station in Snake Park, Harare, early Monday morning, and got away with more than US$20 000.
The incident occurred at 3.42 am and the robbers attacked the victims with bricks and a metal bar.
National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.
“Police in Harare are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a case of robbery which occurred at a service station in Snake Park on August 5 at 3.42 am,” he said.
“Three unknown suspects who were armed with bricks and a metal bar attacked security guards and fuel attendants before gaining entry into the offices where they stole US$20 282, ZiG20 and a laptop.”
In another case of robbery, six criminals pounced at a company along Cleverland Road in Msasa, Harare, and stole US$5 500 and a laptop.
Police are appealing to anyone with information that might assist with investigations to contact the nearest police station.
