THE Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Week Three action produced a total of 16 goals to take the season’s tally to 41 after 27 matches.

In the opening week, 10 goals were scored before the number went up to 15 in the second week of the country’s elite football action.

Former Cup Kings, CAPS United and newbies, MWOS, were the biggest scorers of the weekend after posting identical 2-0 triumphs over Triangle United and Yadah Stars, respectively.

TelOne’s Washington Navaya took his season’s tally to three when they drew one all against Dynamos.

Having scored three goals, Navaya is now the leading goal scorer with Highlanders’ Brighton “MaNinja” Ncube.

The duo is followed by Jaun Mutudza (CAPS United), Masimba Mambare (Kwekwe United) and Billy Veremu (MWOS) who all have two goals each under their belts.

Seven penalties have been awarded thus far, with Bosso’s Ncube, Veremu of MWOS, Ngezi Platinum Stars’ Kudzai Chigwida and Manica Diamonds’ Evans Katema converting theirs, while Blessing Sahondo of TelOne and Menford Mudzimu of Triangle missed their respective spot-kicks.

CAPS United registered their first win of the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) season after beating Triangle United 2-0 on Sunday.

The Green Machine had failed to win in their first two games of the campaign, drawing 1-1 against Green Fuel before losing 2-0 to Scottland FC in the previous round.

Mutudza delivered the victory for the visitors with his first half brace.

Mutudza scored the opener on the quarter hour mark before sealing his brace on minute 26.

It was the first brace of the season while Bosso’s Ncube found the first hat-trick of the 2025 PSL campaign.

The result also stretched Triangle’s poor start, with the Luke Masomere coached Sugar Boys yet to pick a point in their three opening games this season.

Two own goals have been scored, the latest being that of Pawell Govera when TelOne drew one all against Dynamos on Saturday.
