The Shipping and Forwarding Agent’s Association of Zimbabwe (SFAAZ) is holding its two-day 19th Annual Conference in Bulawayo today, bringing together various government ministries, departments, and key players from the shipping and forwarding sector.

The conference is running under the theme: “From Highways to Skyways: Accelerating Zimbabwe’s Trade with Seamless Transport and Logistics”

Transport and Infrastructure Development Minister Felix Mhona, who is the guest of honour, is being represented by Deputy Minister Joshua Sacco.

In his speech, the Minister said the association promotes formalisation and legitimate trade.
He said the Government is supporting this by coming up with different policy interventions.

Minister Mhona said the theme of the event resonates well with the Government’s vision to create world-class logistics services.

To support this, the Minister said the Government has managed to achieve remarkable results in infrastructure development, including the Harare-Beitbridge Road, with a lot of work being done to improve transport infrastructure.
