Shabanie who played one of their best games so far had the visitors back pedalling in the 10th minute only for Tarisai Rukanda to direct his effort over the bar with only goalkeeper Arubi to beat.
Zambian import Derrick Kabwe who was introduced as a substitute in the 56th minute for Roderick Mutuma could have scored in his Premiership debut when he sent a shot to the right but Twaliki went airborne to save his effort. The menacing Kabwe returned to haunt the hosts in the 84th minute when he headed a cross from Ocean Mushure with the Shabanie defence at sixes and sevens but his effort missed the target.
Kabwe is very good on aerial balls and had he started the match the story could have probably been different as Mutuma was marked out by Mware who reduced him to a mere stroller in the park. The last chance of the day fell to Shabanie in the 87th minute.
Pervington Zimunya picked up a long clearance from Twaliki sending a good cross from the right that eluded the DeMbare defence and Erea Phiri was a shade too slow allowing the ball to roll out of play with Arubi at the other end of the action.
Both teams looked cautious in the first half with Denver Mukamba, Martin Vengesayi, Partson Jaure, Devon Chafa giving their all.
Shabanie on the other hand had Smart Muchabayiwa, Rodney Mware, Chisunga, Tafadzwa Mombeshora, Nelson Mazivisa and Rukanda shining. Young Blessed Mbavarira who commanded the rightback position had a sterling performance in his first Premiership match. He was jittery in the first half but upped his game shutting down the menacing Dynamos forwards. Dynamos tried in vain to redeem lost pride as they embarked on the campaign that might see them playing again in the Champions League next year if they retain the Castle Lager Premiership title which Highlanders have already threatened to run away with.
Dynamos coach Callisto Pasuwa blamed the draw to fatigue which he said was catching up with his players after playing many games.
His counterpart Luke Masomere refused to comment about the 52nd minute incident.
