Shabanie sink Shooting Stars

Bottom-placed Shooting Stars sank deeper into the relegation zone when they suffered their 10th defeat of the season after going down to Shabanie Mine in a Premier Soccer League match at Maglas yesterday.
The Wild Boys, who caused a 45-minute delay following a breakdown on their way to the mining town were, however, the better side of the day but they left the scene empty-handed.
Shabanie’s substitute Artwell Nyoni scored the all-important goal for his side in the 59th minute when he headed home Tawanda Mareya’s cross.
Mareya benefited from a poor clearance by Stars’ defender George Karimupfumbi.
In another league match yesterday, Masvingo United and Chicken Inn played out a goalless draw at Mucheke.
