NEWLY promoted Gweru-based Premier Soccer League side Sheasham will get the feel of a competitive topflight opponent when they play host to giants Dynamos at Ascot Stadium on Saturday.

The ambitious Gweru side, who are sponsored by Sheasham Construction, has been busy on the transfer market having beefed up their squad with at least 12 players as they seek to stay longer in the topflight league.

Dynamos

Former Hwange and ZPC Kariba goalkeeper Future Sibanda, the pair of Tichaona Macheka and Tatenda Makurumidze who were signed from Caps United, Tafadzwa Marira (Tenax) and Munyaradzi Chirwa who joined the club from relegated Whawha, are some of the players with Premiership experience that have been signed by Sheasham.

Coached by seasoned former Chapungu gaffer John Nyikadzino, Sheasham are taking the Dynamos match seriously as they work on getting their combinations on groove.

“We’re still in the early stages of pre-season and as we take on Dynamos on Saturday, I believe the game will give us an insight of how our team is shaping. The game presents us an opportunity to build match fitness as well and for that reason, we’re giving it the respect it deserves and the boys will get a glimpse of what to expect in the Premiership,” said Nyikadzino.

Arthur ‘Diego’ Musiyiwa

Dynamos have also been busy on the market signing the trio of Moyo twins Elvis and Kevin as well as Arthur Musiyiwa from Bulawayo Chiefs. Ex-Ngezi Platinum Stars forward Nyasha Chintuli, midfielder Tanaka Shandirwa (Yadah) and 21-year-old Tendai Matindife who was at Ngezi Platinum Stars last season.

DeMbare have parted ways with 13 players who include Godknows Murwira, Partson Jaure, Keith Murera, Ralph Kawondera, Sylvester Appiah, Albert Eonde and Alex Orotomal as they seek to rejuvenate their side.

Frank Makarati, Taimon Mvula, Emmanuel Jalai, Emmanuel Paga, Shadreck Nyahwa and Tinashe Makanda are some of the players that Dynamos coach Herbert Maruwa has retained. — @Zililo
