Sheasham hoping for a change in fortunes

Former Premier League side Sheasham FC continue to punch below their weight in the Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region Soccer League despite a massive investment in the pre-season in which they brought in a number of seasoned players.

Sheasham are still to find a win in three matches, managing only three draws, which have left them six points behind the early pacesetters, Chapungu and Dulibadzimu United.

The Lizwe Sweswe-coached side were held to a goalless draw in the opening match away, to Dulibadzimu United. They needed a disputable last-minute penalty to force a 2-2 draw against Dinson Mvuma before playing out to a goalless draw away to Kwekwe United last weekend.

Sheasham will be hoping to ease some pressure from their fans when they play host to third placed West Nicholson at Bata stadium.

Other fixtures this weekend include MSU welcoming Tongogara FC at MSU Campus Ground while Shabane Mine will travel to Phelandaba for a date with ZRP Gwanda.

FC Wangu Mazodze City will be home to Bishopstone at Bagdad, trying to recover from their goalless away draw as Kwekwe Utd will be away to Beitbridge.

Black Eagles will play against second positioned Dulibadzimu FC.

Fixtures

Blanket Mine v FC Platinum U19, Dinson Mvuma v Gokwe North FC
