Zim dancehall father, Shinsoman real name Romeo Antony’s star continues to rise as he has landed an endorsement deal with Black Opal Cosmetics Zimbabwe recently.
The one-year renewable contact will see the musician do a number of activities for the brand.
“I am excited and feel honoured to be chosen among many other Zim dancehall artistes to be their brand ambassador and this is my first real endorsement deal,” he said. Shinsoman said his roles include doing shows and jingles for Black Opal products.
“I am going to compose theme song for the upcoming edition of Black Opal Face of Zimbabwe (BOFOZ) competition and do some road shows and this has opened another chapter of my life,” he said.
Black Opal Cosmetics Zimbabwe marketing director Tatenda Mutseyekwa said they chose to work with him because of his abilities and look forward to a good working relationship.
“We have engaged Shinsoman because we saw the potential in him that is capable of marketing our brand to the world and we hope that we will work together well.
“Shinso respects women,illustrated by his songs dedicated to his mother and his wife.
Terms of the contract include Shinso recording BOFOZ 2015 theme song “Ndiwe Wega” with upcoming artiste Dow Jones that will be released very soon.
He also said the “Mawaya Waya’ hit-maker will do some promotional jingles and perform at the BOFOZ parties that will be held monthly in different universities.
Although this is Shinsoman’s first long term endorsement deal, he has done jingles for Royco, Gold Tech and Food World before.
Shinsoman broke into the limelight back in 2009 with the single track “Number One” in which he featured diva Cindy Munyavi.
Two years later he released a single album titled Mudhara Kubva Kudhara and he is currently riding high with songs like “Ndakupenga”, “Hatichabatika” and “Zvidhakwa” among others.
