Shot in the arm for horticultural farmers

HORTICULTURAL farmers in Mutasa District have started benefiting from a loan scheme facilitated by the Agricultural Marketing Authority in collaboration with Women’s bank aimed at boosting their enterprises.

AMA provincial inspector Mrs Rose Rosario said the programme, which will cater for all the districts in Manicaland Province, is part of the authority’s mandate of sourcing funds to support production and marketing of farmers’ agricultural products.

The move is in line with the National Development Strategy 1’s Food and Nutrition cluster which seeks to, among other things, increase access to affordable agriculture financing.
