Gospel musician of the moment Blessing Shumba will join hands with the sungura godfather Nicholas Zakaria for a family show at Pagomba Cafe in Beitbridge on Sunday.
Shumba is currently riding high with his album “Ndijesu” that was released last month.
Songs “Nyaradzai Vanhu”, “Chimwe NeChimwe” and “Mwanangu” have been topping the charts since their release.

The musician said it will be another great opportunity for him to play with Zakaria and Spirit Praise.
“These are other good artistes and we always learn from them so it will be a great show for me,” he said.

Turning to the new album the musician said he has since sold more than 10 000 copies so far. “People especially here in Mutare are going for the original CDs and the last time I checked with Metro Studios they had sold more than 10 000 copies,” he said.

Commenting on the upcoming musicians who are claiming that they are mistaken for him the musician said they were all missionaries.
“I have seen it in the press but I am not worried about that as we are all worshipers of God,” he said.

Zakaria said he will sample some of his new songs at the show.
“Our album is coming but we have not yet finished recording but the people there will have the opportunity to hear new songs,” he said.
The musician said it was a great pleasure to share the stage with the two musicians.

Event organiser, Learnmore Tavengwa said all is set for the show.
“Everything is in place and we are looking forward to a great show. We expect to see all age groups in their numbers since it is a family show,” he said.

Tavengwa who is also the leader of the rising group, Spirit Praise said the outfit is ready to rock Pagomba.
The group is currently riding high with the songs “Anodaira” and “Makanaka” and “Nguva”.
