A 42-YEAR-OLD man from Redcliff in the Midlands province, turned his lover’s world into a horror show when he allegedly stabbed her multiple times over a missing SIM card.
According to a statement from the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe, the shocking attack occurred on 24 March 2025, when the man’s girlfriend accused him of taking her SIM card. The suspect, in a fit of rage, allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her in the arm and neck, leaving her fighting for her life in hospital.
The violent lover was arrested and dragged to Kwekwe Magistrates’ Court, where he was charged with domestic violence. His next court appearance is set for April 3, 2025.
Authorities have condemned the brutal act, warning that the long arm of the law will catch up with perpetrators of gender-based violence.
