SIMBA Bhora appear to have concluded the signing of the Bulawayo Chiefs duo of captain Malvin Mkolo and Billy Veremu.

The duo is believed to have penned two-year deals with the club.

An image of the two players with Simba Bhora owner Simba Ndoro is doing rounds on social media which could suggest the Shamva side is talking to the players.

Sources confirmed the image was captured recently. Chiefs have in recent weeks vowed to hold on to their key players this season despite several topflight league teams showing interest in them.

Chiefs media liaison officer Allen Mpofu said: “As always, the club will soon issue a statement in regards to player movements.

For now, that is all we can say.”

Efforts to get a comment from Simba Bhora were fruitless.

Simba Bhora have declared their intention to build a title-winning squad and their activity on the market shows their hunger for glory.

Simba Bhora is said to have already sealed deals with former Soccer Star of the Year Walter Musona, Bulawayo Chiefs’ Billy Veremu and Dynamos’ Junior Makunike.

Sheasham left-back Thubelihle Jubane is another player on the Simba Bhora radar.

Simba Bhora were in their maiden season in the Premiership last season and high expectations were staked on them following an ambitious player acquisition spree.

The club nicknamed ‘Go Buju Go’ was established in the year 2008 to support football activities within Mashonaland Central in general and the Shamva community in particular.

The club is working on renovating Wadzanai Stadium in Shamva where they hope to host top-flight football soon.

Wadzanai is currently being revamped to a 10 000-seater facility, with the club leadership hoping it will soon meet PSL standards. – @innocentskizoe
