SIMBA Bhora captain Blessing Moyo has successfully undergone knee surgery and now continues on his recovery from the injury that has kept him out of Premier Soccer League action for much of the on-going season.

Moyo, a versatile player who is equally at home in midfield as he is in defence, has been sidelined for an extended period after suffering the setback.

While no time-line has been set for his return, the Simba Bhora skipper has now entered the rehabilitation phase under the supervision of the club medical team.

Speaking after the operation, Moyo said everything went well.

“The surgery went well, and I want to thank God, the doctors, my family, my teammates and everyone who has supported me throughout this difficult period. It has not been easy, but I am grateful that the operation was successful.”

“Being out for several weeks has been frustrating because every player wants to be on the pitch helping the team. Watching from the sidelines has been one of the toughest moments of my career, but I have remained positive.”

“Right now, my focus is on rehabilitation. I know recovery takes time, so I am following the medical team’s programme and taking each day as it comes. I don’t want to rush anything.”

“The most important thing is to come back fully fit. There is no point in returning too early and risking another set-back. I want to be in the best possible condition when I wear the Simba Bhora jersey again.”

He added that support from family, friends, teammates and the club had been a huge motivational factor for him.

“The support I have received from the club, my teammates and the supporters has given me extra motivation. Their messages have kept me going throughout this journey.”

“As captain, I still have a responsibility to encourage the boys even when I am not playing. I believe in this group, and I will continue supporting them until I am back on the field.”

“I am determined to return stronger than before. Injuries are part of football, but they also teach you patience, discipline and resilience. I am looking forward to the day I can contribute to the team again,” Moyo said.
