A SINGLE mother from Chitungwiza is struggling to care for her 28-year-old son, who has multiple disabilities, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, mental retardation, and recently diagnosed diabetes.

Alice Ndarami (48) of St Mary’s recently suffered a heart attack and has been advised by doctors to take a break from work to save her life.

However, this has made it difficult for her to provide the care her son, Tanaka Karonga needs, including feeding, cleaning and moving him from point A to B.

Tanaka’s stomach has been swelling for the past week and Alice is in desperate need of assistance.

“My life and that of my son are in danger,” said Alice.

“I used to work for my son for the past years as a single mother, but this time we are all in danger.

Alice said she can no longer afford to purchase the necessary medication or pay for physician visits, and is appealing for help to care for her son and herself.

“My tablets cost US$35 and I am supposed to visit a physician from time to time, but I no longer have money,” she said.

Anyone willing to land a helping hand can get in touch with Alice on 0773 633 244.
