THIS WAS A WOMEN VERSUS GIRLS SHOWDOWN AND THE MIGHTY WARRIORS SIMPLY HAD NO CHANCE…
The Chawinga sisters – Temwa and Tabitha – scored SIX goals as Malawi hammered the Mighty Warriors 9-0 on aggregate in their 2028 Olympics qualifier.
A number of local football fans have turned to social media platforms to question the gender of the two sisters and are even sympathising with the Mighty Warriors.
It’s not the first time the sisters have faced such scrutiny and hostility and Tabitha revealed that she was forced to strip in public during a match to prove she was, indeed, a woman.
Temwa Chawinga and Barbra Banda of Zambia have been named among the 30 footballers who have been nominated for the 2026 Ballon d’Or Feminin award.
