That is the question that is lingering in the heads of most fans of the dancer’s former paymasters, Orchestra Mberikwazvo.
Slomo, who recently jilted Mberikwazvo for Sulumani Chimbetu’s Orchestra Dendera Kings, is reportedly stalking Orchestra Mberikwazvo at every opportunity.
Chronicle Entertainment has it on good authority that the dancer has of late been attending his former boss, Alick Macheso’s shows.
Speculation has thus been rife among music fans that Slomo is contemplating rejoining Orchestra Mberikwazvo.
The dancer, however, played down any possibility of a somersault back to Orchestra Mberikwazvo.
Orchestra Mberikwazvo manager, William Tsandukwa said: “It is true that Dhaka has been attending our shows on a regular basis.
“He has attended three shows so far this year. Franco is our friend.
“We worked with him for quite a long time and there is no problem with him coming to our shows.”
Tsandukwa said Franco was yet to indicate his intentions, if any.
“We have not communicated to Dhaka to that effect. He once came on stage while Macheso was performing at the Bob 88 Super Cup awards and we had no problems with that,” he said.
Tsandukwa added that Orchestra Mberikwazvo was doing very well without Franco and they would not miss him at all.
“We have a competent workforce at Mberikwazvo. We have better dancers and we are doing very well,” he said.
Unconfirmed reports say Orchestra Mberikwazvo has been negotiating with the dancer.
According to sources, Obert Gomba who plays drums for Orchestra Mberikwazvo has been used as the middle man. Gomba could not be reached for comment yesterday.
Slomo said: “I have not been communicating with anyone from Mberikwazvo concerning my going back. I haven’t been offered any job by Macheso,” he said.
However, he said as a professional, if given a better offer, he will not hesitate to go back to Orchestra Mberikwazvo.
“I am a professional dancer. Like any other professional, if I am offered better things, I cannot turn it down,” he said.
