SMEs to get more skills to drive economic growth

Women’s Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Minister Monica Mutsvangwa will tomorrow

headline the inaugural Small to Medium Enterprises Business School and Pitch Challenge that seeks to enhance business

knowledge in entrepreneurs.

The 2024 SMEs Business School and Pitch Challenge will focus on equipping entrepreneurs with essential business skills such

as finance, marketing, operations and digital transformation.

The challenge is being organised by the Vision 2030 Movement. Vision 2030 Movement director of communication Mr

Luckson Zambuko said the event will be attended by 100 top entrepreneurs.

“This event will start in Harare and cascade to all provinces. We seek to empower and provide entrepreneurs with the skills and

resources necessary to succeed in a dynamic business environment,” he said.

“We will have key speakers from Government, private sector and entrepreneurs,

among others.”

Mr Zambuko said the event is a key component of the Vision 2030 Movement’s objective to provide entrepreneurs with a

comprehensive educational framework that equips them with business skills.
