The two were to start from the tenth tee with Smith playing alongside Ben Albin of United States and Danish Jeppe Anderson at 8am.
Krog, who comes from a golfing family with his elder brother Bret representing the country at the same event last year, will have Jose Montano of Bolivia and Australian Gerold Folk for company.
The Zimbabwean players are expected to improve from their last outing when they failed to make the cut in the opening event of the World Championships last week.
The Orange Bowl is an invitational tournament and only three players from the continent are taking part the two Zimbabweans and one South African, Theunis Bezuidenitout.
In 2010 the continent’s leading amateur Scott Vincent and Clive Nguru represented the country at the prestigious event.
Ben Follet-Smith and Bret Krog flew the flag last year.
Most of the players, who take part in such events, end up getting golf scholarships in the United States with Follet-Smith and Bret becoming the latest to join the great trek.
