Bulawayo Social Soccer League (BSSL) teams this weekend put aside their soccer boots in favour of their dancing shoes for a worthy cause in a fundraising event hosted by the league.
The fund raising event started yesterday and ends today. One of the organisers, Linda Bhebhe, urged players as well as Bulawayo residents to come and have a good time away from the contested terrain of football.
The aim being to purchase a tent, chairs, BSSL banner, P.A system, a generator. A similar stokvel (umabhija) event will be held tomorrow at a local leisure centre.
“Come and have the greatest time outside soccer, mix, mingle, make maybe new friends and definitely network. Unwind all in the name of supporting a worthy cause,” said Bhebhe.
The fixtures, however, resume today. Kick off 11 AM, unless stated otherise.
