A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested for allegedly sodomising his 12-year-old brother.
The teenager from Tshabalala suburb in Bulawayo, whose name cannot be disclosed for ethical reasons, allegedly had anal sexual intercourse with the Grade 5 pupil at their parents’ home.
A court heard the teenager woke up in the middle of the night and forced himself on the boy and threatened to kill him if he told anyone.
“Whilst I was asleep, I felt some pain on my behind and I immediately woke up and realised my brother had removed my underwear. His manhood was inside my behind. I tried to get up but I could not,” said the boy.
The teenager appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Themba Chimiso facing an aggravated indecent assault charge.
Chimiso did not ask him to plead and remanded him in custody to June 2.
Prosecuting, Mufaro Mageza told the court that on May 16 at around 8PM, the teenager retired to bed after watching television and found his brother sleeping.
“Complainant was asleep and woke up when he felt some pain on his anus and realised that it was the accused person who had inserted his manhood inside his anus.
“Complainant tried to get up from the bed but failed to do so. He asked why the accused was acting the way he was and he responded by threatening him,” said Mageza.
“The complainant revealed the issue to his cousin after he heard that accused person had been arrested for another crime. The cousin later reported the matter to the police.”
The prosecutor said the boy was referred to hospital and a medical report can be produced in court as evidence.
