Sodomy uncle charged

A 27-YEAR-OLD man from Bulawayo’s Magwegwe North suburb appeared in court facing charges of sodomising his two nephews on several occasions. One of the victims who allegedly could not stand the assault, fled to his rural home. Prosecutor Kenneth Shava said on unknown dates last year, the accused allegedly sodomised the two juveniles who are his nephews on several  occasions.

He said the matter only came to light when one of the victims reported the assault to a neighbour leading to the accused’s arrest. One of the victims had already fled to the rural areas at the time the matter was reported.

In his defence, the accused who pleaded not guilty to sodomy before Willard Maphios Moyo, said he was in Chinhoyi the whole of last year.
He was remanded in custody to Friday.
