Somandla “Mafia” Ndebele and Alick Macheso continue to hold great respect for Tongai Moyo’s mother, Esther “Gogo Chihera” Zengeza, who passed away this week at the age of 94.

Gogo Chihera is being interred in Village 6, Sesombe, near Kwekwe today.

Soma, who collaborated with Dhewa on the song “Moyo Weurerera,” reflected, “Gogo Chihera was a loving mother who treated me like her son. We celebrate her for a long life well lived.”

Macheso also praised Gogo Chihera, referring to her as the ‘mother of all musicians’ who helped shape their careers.

“We are celebrating a life well lived; she was a pillar not only for Tongai Moyo but for the entire family,” said Macheso.
