A 24 YEAR-OLD man from Bulawayo’s Nketa 9 suburb has told the court the he wants his father to rot in jail because he disowned him and physically abuses him.
Jonathan Ncube, 64, appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Tancy Dube facing physical abuse charges.

Ncube pleaded not guilty and was remanded out of custody to September 15 for trial.

Prosecuting Keneth Shava told how on September 8, Ncube physically abused his son Sabelo Ncube.

“Jonathan assaulted his son with fists and open hands several times pushing him against the wall. He does not want to stay with his son and had chased him out of his house.”

“Sabelo came back on September 8 and accused assaulted him, asking him why he came back. He sustained injuries and a medical report could be produced in court as exhibit,” he said.

Sabelo said he wants his father to rot in jail.

“I do not like this man.  What kind of a father does that to his own child? He chased me away and he assaults me like an animal. I want him to go to prison for what he does,” he said.
