South Africa congratulates President Mnangagwa

SOUTH African President Cyril Ramaphosa has congratulated President Mnangagwa after being re-elected the country’s President following last Wednesday’s Harmonised Elections.

In a post on his official X (Twitter) account Monday evening, President Ramaphosa said he wished his counterpart and the people of Zimbabwe well for the upcoming terms.

“I congratulate President Emmerson Mnangagwa on his re-election. I wish him and the people of Zimbabwe well for the upcoming term,” wrote President Ramaphosa.

President Mnangagwa amassed the majority votes gaining 52,6 percent of the vote while his closest rival Mr Nelson Chamisa of the Citizens Coalition for Change managed 44 percent of the vote.
