South African actor refuses to give ex-wife clothes and underwear

Renowned actor Sello Maake kaNcube and his estranged wife, Pearl Mbewe, found themselves embroiled in a heated dispute recently when Maake kaNcube reportedly refused to return Mbewe’s belongings, including her clothes and underwear.

The incident occurred at the actor’s home in Dube, Soweto, where Mbewe had to fight for her items, including panties, shoes, and dresses, as reported by Sunday World.

According to sources, Mbewe and Maake kaNcube had converted several rooms in their shared home into workspaces for their projects. When their marriage deteriorated, Mbewe attempted to collect her belongings but faced considerable resistance from her former partner.

It was revealed that Mbewe attempted to contact Maake kaNcube, informing him of her intention to retrieve her things as their relationship had reached a breaking point. However, the actor reportedly ignored her attempts to get him, and when he did respond, he allegedly claimed to be absent from the home.

In an unsettling turn of events, it was claimed that Maake kaNcube refused to allow Mbewe access to her possessions. Sources close to the situation revealed that he even attempted to assert ownership over items that did not belong to him. Mbewe, realizing the need to take action, enlisted the help of her friends and family to secure her belongings.

A source close to the family described the dramatic scene when Mbewe arrived at Maake kaNcube’s residence with reinforcements. As tensions escalated, the situation became chaotic.

According to an eyewitness, the confrontation was intense, with Maake kaNcube shouting profanities and attempting to intimidate those helping Mbewe.

“When I heard him yelling, I knew something was wrong. There was a vehicle parked in the driveway, and furniture was being loaded onto it. Maake kaNcube was visibly agitated, shouting at the individuals assisting with the move.”

In what appeared to be an emotional plea, the actor supposedly told Mbewe that he still harboured feelings for her. However, Mbewe, who remained firm in her decision, reportedly dismissed his attempts and expressed her frustration, indicating that she had no interest in his feelings.

In response to the ongoing situation, Mbewe spoke to Sundayworld, hoping for a peaceful resolution.

“I hope my estranged husband comes to his senses and returns all my belongings without me needing to involve the authorities.” (Online sources)
