South African Ambassador bids farewell to Zimbabwe

THE outgoing South African Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Rejoice Mabudafhasi, on Wednesday paid a farewell courtesy call on Zimbabwe’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Professor Dr Amon Murwira, marking the end of her diplomatic tour of duty.

The meeting took place at the Munhumutapa Offices in Harare.

In apost on X, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade said Ambassador Mabudafhasi expressed gratitude to the Government and people of Zimbabwe for the warm hospitality and support she received during her tenure.
“She noted the strong bilateral relations between South Africa and Zimbabwe, citing progress made in trade, cultural exchange and political cooperation,” said the Ministry.

Ambassador Mabudafhasi reaffirmed South Africa’s commitment to continued collaboration with Zimbabwe on regional integration and development under the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and other multilateral platforms.

The Minister, Professor Murwira praised the Ambassador’s efforts in deepening ties between the two countries and promoting mutual understanding.

The visit ended with both parties exchanging messages of goodwill and pledging to strengthen future cooperation.
