South African students tour transformed Beitbridge Border Post

School children from South Africa toured the transformed Beitridge Border Post on Thursday.

The border bost has become a marvel for most regional and international travellers.

On Wednesday South Africa’s Home Affairs Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi said the neigbouring government has approved a proposal to upgrade six of its major ports of entries including the Beitbridge Border Post which handles more than seven million travellers annually.

He said in some instances South African components of the border resemble informal settlements and legged behind on infrustructure development matrix compared to its neigbours. Pictures by Thupeyo Muleya @tupeyo
