With clubs eager to build momentum and supporters anticipating local bragging rights, the opening round of matches promises excitement, goals and fierce competition across the region.
The action gets underway tomorrow when Khami United host Nkayi United at Khami in a match scheduled for a 3pm kick-off. Both teams will be aiming to make a positive start and set the tone for what is expected to be a highly competitive campaign.
Saturday features a packed programme, with several fixtures lined up at venues across the Southern Region.
At White City B Arena, Njube Spurs will square off against Megawatt before Aqua Stars take on VF Herentals. The double-header is expected to draw considerable attention, with all four teams looking to make an early impression and strengthen their credentials.
Chiefs Village will also be a hive of activity, with Talen Vision facing Zebra Revolution before Zimbabwe Saints lock horns with Bosso90. With crucial points on offer and teams seeking to gain an early advantage, both encounters are expected to be closely contested affairs.
At Colliery Stadium, Hwange entertain Imbizo, with the hosts likely to draw inspiration from their passionate home supporters. Meanwhile, Casmyn will take on Blackrock at Turk Mine in another potentially entertaining fixture that could deliver plenty of drama.

The weekend programme concludes on Sunday when Bulawayo City host Jordan at Luveve in a midday fixture.
The match presents the final opportunity for teams to secure valuable points and end the round on a positive note.
With a number of clubs taking to the field, the opening weekend could provide an early indication of the sides capable of mounting a serious challenge for honours and those still searching for consistency.
For supporters, however, the focus will be firmly on the action on the pitch, with rivalries set to be renewed and players eager to deliver memorable performances.
