SPAIN RULES THE WORLD

…Will this magic rub onto new Warriors coach Ramon Catala as he begins his romance with our senior national football team?

l  Spanish coaches – Luis de la Fuenta (World Cup), Luis Enrique (UEFA Champions League), Mikel Arteta (EPL trophy) and Unai Emery (UEFA Europa League) have won four of the BIGGEST trophies in world football this year.

l  Whether their success had an influence on ZIFA’s decision to appoint Ramon Catala as the new Warriors coach is something we don’t know but, for the first time in our history, our national team will be under a Spanish coach.

l  Catala will plunge into battle in Morocco tomorrow when the Warriors take on the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in their opening 2027 AFCON qualifier and he has a chance to become the first Warriors foreign coach to win his first game in 27 years.
