A TOP Spanish firm, Clevenard SL Group, plans to host a major event in Zimbabwe next year, in a development expected to boost the country’s rising tourism sector.
On November 21, the same company is expected to honour a Harare businessman, Mr Bernard Mutanga, the Chief Executive Officer of Berhard Development Corporation (Pvt) Ltd. He has been nominated for an international award in recognition of his significant contributions to industrialisation and smart infrastructure development in Zimbabwe and the region. The awards ceremony is set for Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
Clevenard SL Group is an international organisation focused on promoting tourism, trade, investments, industrialisation, culture and telecommunications through media, marketing, partnerships, consultancy and networking, which connects businesspeople and entrepreneurs across the globe.
In its official invitation to Mr Mutanga, Clevenard acknowledges Zimbabwe as one of the best tourism destinations in the world, and the proposed event next year will further enhance the country’s international visibility.
Berhard Development Corporation, working with different partners such as the Zimbabwe Investment Development Agency (ZIDA), focuses on sustainable development across various sectors, including mining, manufacturing, real estate and infrastructure.
The company has spearheaded several ambitious projects, such as the Bern Win Utopia Eco Smart City, the Ber Pig Iron and Steel Plant, the Minerals Processing and Trade Hub and the Inland Dry Port, alongside enhancing road, rail and air cargo transportation networks.
The projects are funded by Green Dollar Coin UK, a financial institution registered under the laws of the United Kingdom, secured and backed by a 3 billion Medium-Term Note (MTN) Bond, which serves as the underlying financial instrument supporting the transaction structure and providing assurance of liquidity for the proposed operations.
Mr Mutanga expressed gratitude for the recognition from an international institution, highlighting that it serves as proof that his organisation meets world standards of sustainable development. “I am truly humbled and honoured to receive this acknowledgment from such a prestigious international institution,” he said.
“This award validates our vision for a smarter, more sustainable Africa. Our projects demonstrate our commitment to sustainable development, innovation and community empowerment, aligning with Clevenard’s values and contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.”
Previously, Mr Mutanga has been recognised regionally for his contributions to real estate and mining.
