Spar donates blankets to Rotary Club

Speaking at the hand over ceremony held in the capital last week, Spar procurement manager, Mr Lincoln Mbizvo said the organisation believes in reaching out to the disadvantaged in the society through various ways.
“We believe in reaching out to the disadvantaged in society through various ways and one such opportunity has presented itself in the way of Rotary Harare.
“This gesture is one of the many activities that Spar is involved in to make a difference in the community,” said Mr Mbizvo.
The blankets were handed over to Rotary Club of Harare president Mr Paul Alichindamba and will be distributed to various organisations in Mabvuku, Epworth and Chivhu, that are involved in poverty alleviation and sustainable development.
Mr Mbizvo added that as part of their social responsibility to help the underprivileged in the community and they would be donating goodies on a quarterly basis.
Spar Zimbabwe became a licensed member of Spar International in 1966.
In Zimbabwe, Spar operates 70 owner-run stores and 10 corporate stores.
