DEATHS in suburbia!
There has been an average of one death per month since February last year at a section of Gwabalanda in Bulawayo and residents are worried that it could be a curse.
a�?Ita��s not even death from long illnesses,a�? said a resident.
All interviewed residents told B-Metro that the trend was, a�?go to sleep and never wake upa�? as such when night falls, people are scared and only pray to wake up the next day.
Edmore Dube, who has been staying in the area for more than 25 years fears that one day it could be him.
a�?I am now scared it could be me next. Ita��s time we address this matter before we lose more lives,a�? he said.
Another resident who refused to be named alleged that there was a witch or wizard among them with a hit list of people to take out.
a�?I think the person who is behind all this drama is among us and is pushing certain agendas.
a�?For this reason I think we have to take major precautions to fight evil spirits,a�? said the tormented resident.
Another resident who identified himself as Ntini said even at the last funeral, people were whispering about the possibility of witchcraft in the area.
a�?The mood was tense and people treaded carefully although you could hear whispers about the deaths issue,a�? he said.
The councillor of the area, Concilia Mlalazi was not available for comment. .
