NATIONAL Rugby League giants Harare Sports Club maintained their dominance after thrashing Mutare Sports Club 85-5 at the weekend.
Sportivo have six wins and a draw and remain the only unbeaten side in the league.
They took their points tally to 31.
Bitter rivals Old Hararians have played six matches, won four and lost two.

Taddy Whata converted nine times with the boot and capped it with a try while lock Kudakwashe Chisepo also touched down three times.
Chisepo said the match was a bit scrappy in the first half.

“The game was scrappy in the first half because when you play Mutare they just want to distract your game plan but I was happy with the second half.
“Tries started coming and we were able to stick to our game plan. If we could play the way we did in the second half we will be getting better and better with each game,” said Chisepo.

Mutare coach Blessing Mwale, who received a baptism of fire in his first assignment, said his team was inconsistent.
“We had the first 60 minutes of a good game but after that we did not play well. That is a reflection of lack of fitness and we need to improve on that.

“It is quite a challenge to play these bigger sides. They are better conditioned, some of them play in the national team and so it is a lot of work for Mutare and given a bit more time and exposure we should get there.

“This was my first assignment as a coach for Mutare. I have been part of the club for a while but not as a coach.
“It is always a daunting task to take over a team when they have already played a number of teams but I believe the team has a lot of potential.

“What I am hoping for is that in the next two to three seasons we have a steady stream of complete rugby players from Mutare,” said Mwale.
Mwale took over from Francis Makoni who was sacked last week.

Old Georgians thumped visiting Old Miltonians 74-9 with 19-year old prop Farai Mudariki scoring his first try of the season.
“This is my first year playing for Old Georgians.

I have always looked up to my brother Hilton (who plays for the Zimbabwe Sevens side) in my career but I would like to make a name for myself as well,” said Mudariki.

“I enjoyed our match.
I scored a try and I am very happy, we have won three in a row now and I hope it stays this way and we keep progressing.”
