THE Sports and Recreation Commission have suspended their director-general Eltah Nengomasha amid revelations that she is due to face a disciplinary hearing at the sport regulatory body.

It was not immediately clear what triggered Nengomasha’s suspension.

SRC board chairman Gerald Mlotshwa however, confirmed the suspension in a brief statement on Thursday night.

“Please take note that pending the finalisation of a Hearing, the director-general of the SRC has been suspended.

“Mr Sebastian Garikai will assume the role of director-general in an acting capacity until further notice,” read the statement.
