St John’s to tour South Africa

ST John’s College rugby coach Scott Gray wants to assemble a good squad for the St John’s Johannesburg Easter Festival set for next month.  The festival will run from April 17 to 21. “I am sure we will come up with a good squad for our tour, we have started training and by next week we will name the squad for the festival,” said Gray.
The festival will have 12 teams, six which featured at last years’ tourney, which had the likes of Paarl Boys High, Paul Roos and Waterkloof who are top rugby-playing schools in South Africa.

There have been changes to the St John’s Festival.

It will have relegation and promotion, six teams will drop out and six teams will rise.

Scots College from Australia replace SGS Filton (UK) and, together with St John’s Harare, will provide the foreign spice.

St John’s College (Harare),Paarl Boys High School(Jeppe),Klein Nederburg(Nelspruit) Noordheuwel Paul Roos Gymnasium,Pretoria Boys High School,Scots College (Australia), St Charle College,St John’s College (JHB),Waterkloof.
