THE stage is set for the biggest body-building extravaganza the Zimbabwe National which is set for 7Arts Theatre this Saturday.
The country’s premier body-building, contest has always attracted top body-builders.
The country’s top body-builders, like defending champion Mark Anthony Vassilatos, Nigel Maphosa, Edward Mutero, Noah Dzvokora, Ndumiso Dlodlo, David Weir, Nomthasanga Phiri, Lynette Tom, Beloved George among several others are expected to turn up.
National Federation of Zimbabwe Body-building and Fitness (NFZBF) representative, Keith Chirimanzi, said the competition will be bigger and better this year.
“We are going to have the Zim Nationals this weekend with several athletes having confirmed their availability. The preparations are going on well and we are hopeful that by Saturday everything will be in line. We are expecting a very good line-up who have defending champion Mark, former champion Maphosa, who is making a comeback.
“We have managed to retain most of our sponsors and we hope to have more coming on board as we are still open,’ said Chirimanzi. The NFZBF has managed to lure some corporates like Deals of love, Whismas Logistics, Crystal Candy, Rev Auto, Hoko, Wrydee, Kutaura Enterprises, Radiator Kings, Chipaz Promotion, Zimpapers, Exodus & Company, Diamond Pharmacy and Champion Chienderamwano among others.
