StanChart commits $9m for refurbishment

STANDARD Chartered Bank says it has to date spent $1,8 million on refurbishment of its three branches.

The Fife Street Bulawayo branch was the first to be completed and work on the refurbishment of the remaining branches is expected to be completed in the next nine months.

In his opening remarks during the official opening of the new look branch on Friday, StanChart chief executive officer Mr Ralph Watungwa said: “Investing in branches is a very important undertaking for us. It demonstrates our commitment and our confidence in the future.

“We are here for our customers and here for the long run. We are also here for progress. This is why we continuously strive to bring innovative solutions to meet our customers’ revolving needs.”

He indicated that a total of $9 million would be spent on the bank’s renovations.
