Star babies get their prizes

LAST Saturday babies who were victorious in The Sunday Mail Jet Baby Competition received their prizes at a ceremony held at Meikles Hotel in Harare.
While thousands of babies entered the competition, only eight walked — or crawled — away with prizes.
Babies that came first in their respective categories went home with US$300 cash, a certificate, and shopping vouchers from Jet Stores; while those who came second pocketed US$200, a certificate and Jet Stores shopping vouchers.
In the 0-12 months girls’ category, Ruvarashe Courtney Karumazondo and Makanaka Pamela Gondo came first and second respectively, while Lwandile Joshua Sibanda topped the boys category with Kieran Kukunda Muroyiwa the runner-up.
Brianna Shanice Chipo Tsomondo topped the 13-24 months girls’ category as Anisha Tinevimbo Mukarati came second. In the boys category Anesu Xavier Watadza and Kudzwai Mubairatsunga came first and second respectively.
Brianna’s parents were proud as this was not their first time being on this particular podium with their baby coming second in the 0-12 month’s category in last year’s edition.
