President Mnangagwa has extended his condolences to the families of the eight people who died in an accident that occurred near Mutendi Complex along the Masvingo-Mutare Highway on Saturday morning.

Eight people including the driver perished on the spot after a Mutare-bound bus with 20 passengers sideswiped a timber-laden lorry as it tried to avoid an oncoming vehicle near the Mutendi Complex about 56km from Masvingo.

The bus crashed after its side was ripped open by the timber killing the eight.

President Mnangagwa granted State assistance to the bereaved families to bury their loved ones.
