State opposes ‘killer’ doctor’s bail application

Thandeka Moyo, Court Reporter
PROSECUTORS have opposed bail in the case of a Mpilo Central Hospital doctor who was arrested last week for allegedly killing a nurse.

Alexander Ndlovu, 28, who is facing a murder charge, told Bulawayo Magistrate Tinashe Tashaya that he was a good candidate for bail.

Through his lawyer Jabulani Mhlanga of Moyo-Masiye and Associates, Ndlovu said he had no previous convictions and that he would not interfere with investigations.

Prosecutor, Nathaniel Mutsikwa opposed the bail application.

Magistrate Tashaya remanded Ndlovu in custody to today where he will deliver his ruling on the bail application.
