It is not the first time they have shared the stage, and as usual, social media is already wild with expectations.
The show is on March 29 and 30 at Old Hararians Sports Club in Harare and is dubbed the Sunshine City Festival.
What is fascinating about this festival is that it will have an array of musicians from different genres, most of whom have shared the stage before.
Hosted by Tamba Events under Braai Out, the lineup will include Jah Prayzah, Winky D, ExQ, Mookomba, Bazooker, Garry B and Etherton, Master H, Bling 4, Jah Signal, Chillspot Family, Killer T and Selmor Mtukudzi.
According to the organisers, the event has been divided into two parts with a series of programmes lined up.
In an interview with The Herald Arts, show organisers and director at Braai Out ZW, Nigel Chinovhiringa, said preparations were at an advanced stage with all the artistes confirming their participation.
He cleared the air that the show was not a ‘clash’ or ‘face-off’ as some fans were speculating.
“We are happy that all the artistes have confirmed with some already doing rehearsals for the show” he said.
“This is not a face off show. What we have decided was to divide the programme in two parts as we are doing the show in two days.”
On March 29, the event will be headlined by Jah Prayzah who will share the stage with ExQ, Selmor Mtukudzi, Mookomba, Jah Signal and Chillspot Family.
The following day will be more of a Zimdancehall feat which will see Winky D, Killer T, Bazooker, Bling 4, Master H and Etherton B and Garry among others.
Chinovhiringa said they have also decided to have a different ticket design for both events.
“The different designs serve a purpose and I am happy that the first phase of tickets batches has been sold out. We are celebrating big artistes from Harare, henceforth we have centred much on them. We are going to take the same concept to Bulawayo, Gweru, Mutare and Kariba among other cities,” he said.
He said since it was more of a family show, there is also a soccer tournament with various clubs and institutions taking part.
“The idea is to have fun on the day,” Chinovhiringa said.
“Some companies have started to register their teams for the soccer tournament and we are happy with the progress so far. We have started planning the stage as we are always on the ground with the team.
“We urge our fans and patrons that they should fear nothing as in terms of security everything is sorted.”
