Stellar start for Tino Mbasera

AFTER rising to fame with the hymn “Mumwe Ariko” off the 2024 FIG Worship Culture Live DVD recording in Bulawayo, it was only a matter of time before the lad would start his solo career.

And when he recorded his debut live DVD in the capital recently, Tinotenda Mbasera nailed it!

Talk of excellence merged with spirituality, it was another memorable night at 99 Parklane which has now become the home of intimate experiences for gospel musicians and their fans as it appears the Holy Spirit dwells there.

The stage was immaculate, there was nothing to show that Mbasera was still starting out in the game as everything combined, sound and lights – all dripped class.

Stuff we usually get from experienced cadres and at times they fall short. From the first song to the last one on the night, everything was just flawless. Indeed, the heavens were smiling at him all the way.

“…he had a great cloud of witnesses supporting him,” were the sentiments of renowned bassist Tinos Musariri. Honestly where in the world would an artist just starting out in Zimbabwe have the privilege of featuring hotshots such as Minister Takesure Zamar Ncube, Blessing Jeduthun, Pastor Ellard Cherayi, Tawanda Midzi and the multi-talented Tatenda Gurupira.

That sounds like an artist’s lineup for the now famous Celestial Chorus Soiree or the biggest of them all, A Night of Thanksgiving.

Each collaboration had depth and triggered the move of God.

Even when Mbasera was singing alone he still managed to host the presence of God.

Another outstanding factor was the dexterity in writing.

Most of the songs were original compositions and some will be sung during praise and worship sessions at your local church.

The love was not only on the stage but the amazing audience that came out on chilly night and packed the auditorium.

We now wait for the music to released.
