Sting scoffs at Mad Cobra’s request

Days after Mad Cobra came out public stating that he wants US$50 000 to perform at Sting, the promoters respond. According to the dancehall veteran, he already has shows booked overseas that will net him US$60 000 and will only perform at Sting if promoters can match that.
Downsound Records CEO and Sting co-promoter, Joseph Bagdanovich, called Cobra’s demands “absurd”.

“That is absurd. Cobra is a great artiste for sure and he is a good friend and I think he is the guy that can clash better than anybody, he has beaten Ninja Man once. But right now we are happy with our line-up,” Joe said.

Bagdanovich says the main focus of Sting is to uplift dancehall and reggae music worldwide. The question now is whether or not Mad Cobra will go back to the negotiating table or back down from his demand?
