Moreblessing Ncube
WHILE soldiers are known for firing guns “with military precision,” this one went Stone Age and pelted a civilian at Queens Park East shopping Centre.
In the true tradition of a WWE Extreme Rules match, Mgcini Ndlovu (30) went all out, sparing no version of violence on Zwelibanzi Ncube (40).
Ndlovu from Queenspark appeared before Bulawayo Magistrate Patience Madondo, who remanded him in custody until 5 December. He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Prosecutor Joseph Rugara, told the court that on 14 November, around 7 PM , Ndlovu had a misunderstanding with Ncube.
The initially simple exchange quickly switched gears. Ndlovu reportedly drew spectators from far and wide with resounding slaps on Ncube. The slaps were so loud some spectators first fled, thinking guns were being fired. By the time they realised there were no guns and returned to watch, Ndlovu had upgraded to rock-hard punches and kicks like he was demonstrating a full military training manual. To top it off, he grabbed stones and used them to finish the job.
Ncube was left with bruises on the left eye, shoulder and forehead as evidence of the one sided showdown.
The matter was reported to the police who promptly arrested the soldier before he could throw any more stones or fists.
