STUDENT and youth leader, Joyline Tafadzwa Madombwe continues to make an impact as a female student in advocating for the transformation of young people and empowering communities through leadership and strategic advocacy.
This follows an invite as a guest speaker at the upcoming She Connects, Beauty, Wellness & Lifestyle Conference and Expo, an event where women come together and interact.
Madombwe is expected to lead in the national discourse on youth empowerment and professional development skills.
A dynamic leader, governance advocate, and change maker, she is passionate about empowering communities through leadership, public service, and strategic advocacy.
“I feel honoured to be part of this conference as it continues to widen my abilities in empowering young people and vulnerable communities.
“The conference brings together a distinguished line up of Zimbabwean leaders and being invited as a speaker elevates me to another level as it shows that my contribution is being recognised,” she said.
A dedicated youth leader and governance advocate, Madombwe joins the “Well Within” panel to offer insights on the intersection of ambitious career growth and personal wellbeing.
“Wellness is not the absence of work but it is the presence of systems that keep you grounded while you lead. My contribution to the summit aims to provide actionable strategies for young professionals navigating the demands of high-visibility roles and community-based advocacy,” she added.
Her leadership continues to gain national recognition, highlighted by her receipt of the Purposeful Leadership Award at the Simuka Uvheneke Woman Impact Awards (December 2025) and her status as an honouree at the Iconic Africa Summit & Honors (February 2026).
“My focus is to represent leading regional brands, leveraging my expertise in leadership, policy, and strategic engagement to influence meaningful conversations and lasting impact.
“I want to be a voice which inspires audiences to lead with purpose, embrace innovation, and create sustainable change.”
As she joins this prestigious platform, she continues to model a path for young women to balance professional excellence with sustainable community impact.
Her participation underscores her transition from institutional governance having served as the National Student Representative Council President (2024–2026) and as a member of the Zimbabwe Open University governing board (2025–2026) to active national advocacy as the Founder and Executive Director of the Mr. and Miss Road Safety Organisation Zimbabwe.
She previously served as National President of the Student Representative Council at Zimbabwe Open University, a Council Member on the University’s governing board, and a Junior Member of Parliament.
She broke glass ceilings as the first female to transition from Miss ZOU to National SRC president.
